2014 Opel Meriva

 In November 2013 Opel announced new Meriva prices. There is a different generation, but of renewal leading model for sale since 2010.The first units were delivered in late January 2014. The most important changes are the introduction of a 136 hp diesel engine and IntelliLink multimedia system. The exterior and interior remains almost unchanged.

The diesel engine of 1.6 liters and 136 hp replaces the 1.7 CDTI with 131 hp and meets European standards Euro 6 emissions. With this engine, whose trade name is "1.6 CDTI" - the fuel average consumption is 4.4 l/100 km and the Meriva can accelerate from 0-100 km / h in 9.1 seconds. With regard to the engine it replaces, consumes 0.9 l/100 km less and can accelerate from 0-100 km / h 0.8 seconds faster. Throughout 2014 will be introduced other variants of the 1.6 CDTI engine succeeding the 95 hp 1.3 CDTI and 1.7 CDTI 110.

All petrol and LPG version (which can also run on gasoline) have been reworked to comply with Euro 6, though his power numbers have not changed. There are three petrol engines available, all with 1.4 liter engine, one is atmospheric (101 hp) and the other two are turbocharged (with 120 and 140 hp). The latter two can be ordered with a gearbox six-speed automatic. Also, the version prepared to use LPG as fuel still has 120 hp, but its average consumption fell slightly.

Opel says it has worked on manual gearboxes, five and six speeds, to make them faster, smooth and precise.

IntelliLink multimedia system consists of a seven-inch touch screen from which you can manage the sound system, GPS navigation, mobile phone use (previously connected via Bluetooth) and other related functions. There are two versions of this system, "Navi 650 'and' Navi 950 ', which differ in the number of functions you can perform. IntelliLink is available for some time in other Opel models like ADAM and Insignia.

The Meriva can now have type LED daytime running lights and a new set of wheels 17 and 18 inches in diameter. The front grill has a slightly different design than the model it replaces, and pilots have also had minor design changes.

The typical door opening system is unchanged and configuration possibilities of seats.
