The Return of a Great Car: 2014 Chevrolet Impala




Chevrolet completed the renewal of its passenger car range with the launch of Chevrolet Impala 2014 which now has a radical exterior and interior redesign, new combinations of highly efficient engines and the latest generation of information systems, communication and entertainment.

Family Completed

The 2014 Impala joins new generations of Spark, Sonic, Cruze and Malibu, with which Chevrolet is gradually regaining its dominance in one of the most competitive segments in the global market.

Although as recently as the 2011 Chevrolet Impala was the best selling large sedan with 170,000 units-which placed him in the top 10 of all cars sold in the U.S. over-the majority of their sales were destined for fleets commercial, public service or rent.

Drivetrain and Transmission

 Present the 2014 Chevrolet Impala with three petrol engine options: the 3.6-liter V6 with 305 horsepower, a new four-cylinder 2.5-liter engine combination 2.5-liter four-cylinder with eAssist technology, which will give a yield of 25 miles per gallon of gasoline in city driving and up to 35 highway. All three engines are coupled to a automatic transmission six changes.

Cutting Edge Technology 

For 2014, the engineers and designers of the Chevrolet changed absolutely every aspect, technical, design and performance to make it a worthy competitor, plus they added the most advanced technology ever produced by General Motors.

The 2014 Impala is the first model from General Motors which includes the new generation communication system, security and entertainment MyLink, which features a color screen controls eight inches with voice command and includes features such as connectivity for up to 10 different devices simultaneously., screen customization and navigation system (GPS) in 3D.

 

The MyLink system has a feature that lets you store up to 60 commands "Favorites" which can be radio stations AM, FM or XM Sirius satellite radio, search points in the navigation system to make calls or contacts with command instructions voice.

Also includes a security feature when using the Valet Parking service through which you can use a storage compartment for valuables behind sliding screen that closes with a combination safe style.

The technology team includes three USB ports, audio auxiliary port outlet 120 Volts.

For all this, the Chevrolet Impala received the award for Best Automotive technology website CNet specializing in technology during the recent Consumer's Electronic Show in Las Vegas.



Would I buy it?


 The new 2014 Chevy Impala V6 went on sale in the first quarter of 2013, while versions with four-cylinder engine will be available in the summer and the model equipped with the technology e-Assit in the second half of 2013.

The price list MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price) model begins with the four-cylinder engine with 27.535 USD, including the $ 810 charge for deliveries.

The version with V6 will have a base price of $ 30.760 on LT and $ 36.580 for the LTZ, while the four-cylinder engine starts at $ 27.535 for the LS, $ 29.785 for the LT and $ 34.555 for the LTZ.



The price of the version with eAssist technology will be announced closer to the departure for sale.

Chevrolet will continue to manufacture the current generation Impala until demand still exists for fleet service for the government, car rental firms and other commercial uses, bringing hope to reverse the percentage of sales from 70% today for that use, 70% of sales directly to consumers.
