2010 Mitsubishi Montero compare 2012 Mitsubishi Montero

The Mitsubishi Montero marketed in 2012 has some changes to the exterior, interior and equipment compared to 2010.

SUV is a classic, in the sense that its highway driving is far from that of a passenger and models like the Mercedes-Benz M-Class and the Volkswagen Touareg. Therefore, it seems advisable for anyone going to make heavy use in tough off-road areas, where yes you can take advantage of its features. If the primary use is by road, opt for another model. More information in the section on Driving Impressions.

The principal alternatives to Montero are the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, the Land Rover Discovery 4, the Nissan Pathfinder and the Toyota Land Cruiser. Of those, Jeep and Toyota are also available with two body styles. A Jeep Grand Cherokee goes better on the road and has a more refined interior.

The three-door Montero is on sale from € 35,290 and five for € 38,050. The three-door is priced in between a Wrangler and a Land Cruiser. The five is the most affordable among its size and power.

At the time of purchase is not much to decide on the engine as there is only one. Diesel is a 200 hp, which is not smooth and silent but reasonably well to Montero moves. Yes you have to choose the type of gearbox, manual or automatic, both five-speed and body. This may be three or five doors and, unlike what usually happens in a car, the differences go beyond the number of gates, the five measured 51 cm in length, which allows for a much wider cabin and carry up to seven occupants.

You also have to choose between one of two trim levels, called "Spirit" and "Motion". The differences are decorative, exterior trim and interior-trim-different tire size, xenon headlights, front fog lights, cruise control, Bluetooth and heated front seats, among others-and price-about 6000 euros. Whoever Automatic (2000 euros) will have to choose the most equipped mandatory.

Either version is ideal for the field because they have the same drive system - "Super Select 4WD II" - which consists of rear differential lock and allows circular rear-or all-wheel drive. The gearbox is standard, as is the rear differential lock. The version "Spirit" has a smaller tire (17 inches instead of 18) and the rubber profile, so it may be more suitable for the field (the difference is half inch, which is not much) .

Changes in the body are front, where there is a grill and a bumper slightly different. In addition, the lower guard becomes black color was silver-before-and there's a new model alloy wheels of 18 inches. In the cockpit lighting range-instrumentation becomes red-and there are new silver inlays.

The 2012 Montero is an update to hit the market in 2010, itself a renovation that began marketing in 2006. This was a thorough review of the 2003 model, derived from the 2000 model.

Ensure a five-door Montero all risk (no excess) costs 995 euros in the company offering the policy with best quality-price ratio (6.84 out of 10), which is Pelayo. These results we have obtained in our comparative insurance policyholder introduced as a driver of 55 years, that runs up to 20,000 miles a year and park the car in a communal garage.

The first generation appeared in 1982 Montero. This model is called the Pajero in all markets except Spain (Montero) and England (Shogun).
