New data on the BMW M3 and M4

The presentation of the new BMW M models, the M3 and M4 is closer, but still have to wait. To make the wait more bearable, BMW has released some details of both models, technical photographs and a video in which two of the DTM drivers (Bruno Spengler and Timo Glock) analyze the behavior of the vehicle during a few laps of the track German Nürburgring Nordschleife (see  images of the M4 during the trip to Test Clio 120 000 km ).

Despite being official data, BMW does not disclose exact figures. It is confirmed that both models have a 6-cylinder engine new bill, called the S55 B30, with two turbochargers (IHI) low inertia associated with a variable geometry intake (VALVETRONIC) and Double-VANOS system. It will have a capacity of approximately 430 hp at 7500 rpm and a maximum torque of over 500 Nm, improving 30% over the previous offering of the M3 V8.
