The McLaren MP4-12C Spider is the convertible version of the MP4-12C two-seater coupe. It is on sale from € 258,400 and the first units will arrive in November this year.
It has a retractable hardtop-McLaren calls "Retractable Hard Top" - which is hidden in a compartment between the engine and the rear of the cabin. This compartment, 52 liters volume, can be used as a trunk when the top is on the body-it also offers the possibility to buy a bag designed to take advantage of that space.
The folding and unfolding process takes less than 17 seconds and can be performed circulating speeds up to 30 km / h. As happens in the coupe, the engine can be seen through a transparent cover.
