Both C-MAX models are five seats and are based on the C-MAX to hit the market in late 2010.
The C-MAX Energi has an electric motor powered by the energy stored in a lithium ion battery over a gasoline engine Atkinson cycle. Ford has not specified the power of any of them. It has a total range of over 800 km. It is superior to that of the Chevrolet Volt and the Opel Ampera (560 km)-are the same car mechanically.
Ford has not given any information about the C-MAX Hybrid, only that will exist. Both hybrid versions of the C-MAX g Astan unless the Ford Fusion Hybrid , for sale only in the U.S. - which consumes 5.0 l/100 km.
The C-MAX Energi will u n system, called "MyFord Touch", which helps the driver to manage the recharge process, calculating the route with lower energy costs, vehicle load control remotely via a mobile phone or a computer, configure the connection of the HVAC system to temper the cabin occupants before accessing it or receive information on the level of battery power, autonomy or instantaneous power consumption by the instrument.
It also has a system ("MyView") to find out the energy demand of the various electrical components of the vehicle, such as air conditioning, and another ("Brake Coach") showing the most efficient way to use the brake system for maximum regenerative braking, battery charge deceleration.
U.S. will be available on " MyFord Mobile ", a device that allows to get information on the vehicle when a mobile phone with Internet access, from the state of charge of the battery to the ability to configure an alert service when the car needs to be recharged.
The two hybrid variants of the C-MAX destined for Europe will be produced at Ford's plant in Almussafes (Valencia). Those that will be marketed in the U.S. be built at Ford's factory in Wayne, Michigan (USA).
