The Toyota Aygo, tourism of 3.43 meters long and four seats, has been updated with changes to the exterior, interior and equipment. It's basically the same car as the Citroen C1 and the Peugeot 107 , which have also been renovated in 2012.
It is available from € 7200 body with three doors and from € 7500 body with five doors. A motor equality and equipment, five-door versions have a premium of € 300. Replaces model that has been marketed since 2009, in turn a renewal of that came to market in 2005.
Only available with a gasoline engine three cylinders and 1.0 liter engine giving 68 hp-Toyota calls it "Aygo 70 '-. It's the same with the C1 and 107 and that was already available in the previous model. Can be associated with a gearbox five-speed manual or an automatic ("ConfortDrive") also five relations with paddles behind the steering wheel. This change is structurally as a manual gearbox with the peculiarity that the driver does not have to operate the clutch - no foot-or-no shifter electric motors that power these elements.
Aygo passenger is more affordable small, with little difference from, for example, Nissan Pixo or Suzuki Alto -three are available between 7500 and € 7,900 -. Other similar models, like a Fiat Panda a Hyundai i10 or Kia Picanto are more expensive because they can be purchased from about 8500-9000 €.
The Aygo has an average consumption of 4.3 l/100 km with either gearbox. They are 0.2 l/100 km less than the previous model with the manual transmission and 0.3 l/100 km with the automatic.Consumption is similar to a Kia Picanto, a Suzuki Alto or a Nissan Pixo.
Since there is no diesel version, not as in the previous model that, until 2010, was available with a 1.4 D-4D 54 hp.
Toyota says it has made minor changes to the suspension to increase comfort and improve agility, and ensure that there is more insulation in the hood for engine noise into the cabin gets more attenuated. Peugeot and Citroen have not said anything about it, at least so far, of its 2012 models.
Changes and equipment
Outside the Aygo, the changes affect the bumpers, headlights, pilots and hood. You can have daytime running LEDs. Two new exterior colors - " Vibrant Metallic Orange "and" Bronze Mica " - and different alloy wheels and plastic covers for steel wheels of 14 inches in both cases.
In the cockpit, the bottom of the instrument panel, center console and door panels happen to be the same color as the dash-before were different. They also change the steering wheel and shifter, and new upholstery. The trunk still has 139 liters of capacity, but Toyota has changed the opening angle of the tray to improve access to cargo space.
As changes are not large, the information published at the time of the 2005 Aygo and Aygo, 2009 remains in effect.
The Aygo is a choice of two trim levels: "Live" and "City". In the 2012 model stability control is standard on all versions. In the most economical ("Live"), the air conditioning is optional, as the electric windows or central locking. They can not have, not even optionally, Isofix anchoring points for child seats is standard-versions 'City' -.
There's a different sound team wearing the previous model, with radio, CD MP3, USB and Aux-In for external audio sources and Bluetooth hands-free system for mobile phones. It is standard on versions 'City' - Aygo trim tabs 3p and 5p Aygo trim tabs -.
Insurance price and other details
