The Bentley Mulsanne is a four-door sedan and almost 5.60 meters in length that is available from 343 963 euros (price and technical equipment). It is a completely new model in the Bentley range, which was presented in mid-2009. In Spain sold since mid-2011. Since April 2013 Bentley introduces small changes that modify some details of the interior and the exterior are new paintings (more information). Some of these changes are standard and optional. It is a car that has multiple configuration possibilities to meet the tastes of each client.
It has a 513 hp V8 engine, which is coupled to a gearbox eight-speed automatic. It is rear wheel drive. The Mulsanne measures 5.57 m long, 1.92 m wide and 1.52 m high, with a wheelbase of 3.26 m.
For price and size, the closest model in the market is the Rolls Royce Ghost Extended Wheelbase. The Rolls Royce Phantom is much larger and much more expensive.
The suspension air springs with dampers varying hardness. There is a system of automatic control of the hardness of the suspension and steering assistance, with three different programs ("Bentley", "Sport" and "Comfort"). A fourth mode ("Custom") allows the driver to adjust the settings to your preferences.
To limit the car's weight, certain elements of the body are made of light materials. Thus, the front fenders are aluminum and the trunk lid is composite. However, it is a very heavy car: 2685 kg.
Is standard alloy wheels 20'' tires mounted measures 265/45. Optionally, you can take a 21'' with tires 265/40.
The headlights have a distinctive design. There is a xenon projector and several groups of diodes. Pilots have houses three ellipses for different functions. Reproduce the shape of the exhaust outlets.
The retractable Bentley emblem on the hood is located just above the grill (pictured), is an optional element. Standard takes an anagram plane. The grill, outside release handles and decorative moldings threshold of the four doors are made of polished stainless steel. The body 114 can be chosen in different colors.
The interior is lined with wood and leather. The leather seats and the inside of the doors is available in 24 different colors. So many seats front and rear ventilation and massage may have. According to Bentley, the design of the indicators in the instrument cluster is inspired by their first models.
Take a multimedia system with 60 GB hard drive and a 8'' to handle the browser, audio equipment, DVD player, telephone and Bluetooth hands-free system. You can also carry an entertainment system for the rear seats, supports computers and a wireless internet access.
The access system and keyless start to configure the radio station you want to listen to access the interior and seat position and steering wheel as well as the height of the seat belts. You can also select the degree of openness of the electric blinds covering the rear window and the windows of the rear seats.
The Mulsanne is made from spring 2010 on the ground that Bentley has in Crewe (England). Was presented at the Pebble Beach Concours D'Elegance of Monterey (California), August 2009. According to Bentley, is inspired by the 8 Litre 1930-1931 and 1955-1959 S1.
Between 1980 and 1992, produced another model called Bentley Mulsanne. This is the name of a French town and a curve of the Circuit de la Sarthe which hosts the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
