The most important is a renewed front , the possibility of acquiring a version without gear and they all have the system automatically stops the engine when the car stops and starts to resume walking . You can also have more equipment .
At first glance , the new and the old model is distinguished by changing the grille, headlights, and tires paragoles . In addition, registration Land Rover that was in the hood has been replaced by the name of the car. From the back has been removed 4 and has been left alone ' Discovery '. The Engine Indication happens to be at the gate to the front doors.

Of the two engine variants available in Spain , both Diesel , with 211 and 256 hp , the first may be elected without gear . Something that occurs for the first time in this model and allows further reducing the weight 18 kg . This also assumes that the center differential lock is replaced with a Torsen .
Both engines are standard the Stop / Start system , which has reduced the consumption test cycle . The 211 hp goes from 8.5 to 7.8 l/100 km and 256 down 8.8 to 8.0 l/100 km.
The new items of equipment , as seen in other models, are wading depth sensor (which premiered the new Range Rover Sport) , the warning of obstacles in the blind spot , the detection of vehicles crossing behind the car when backing and a camera system that simulate overhead image of the car and its surroundings.

The new Discovery is on sale from 49 200 euros ( all prices) . It's a much higher price than that of a Toyota Land Cruiser or Mitsubishi Montero ( comparative tab ) and similar to a Jeep Grand Cherokee or a Volvo XC90 ( comparative tab ) . A Mercedes - Benz M-Class , Audi Q7 or BMW X5 are much more expensive ( comparative tab ) .
